Biographies

When you choose CCL, you're choosing experience.

To begin with, the majority of principals are professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant or Solicitor. And every principal has worked in the financial services industry before joining CCL.

Ralph Lindeyer, FCA

In 1988 Ralph and Mike Barker established CCL - concentrating exclusively on financial services compliance consulting.

Ralph qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1970. From 1970 to 1984 he worked as Finance Director for a number of financial services companies. In 1984 he started in private practice as a Chartered Accountant and specialist regulatory consultant.

This background gives Ralph a broad experience of financial services regulation. Today, he acts for a wide range of international hedge funds, brokers and dealers in the securities, derivatives and commodities markets.

Ralph has particular expertise in systems and back office administration, as well as financial reporting. He also specialises in advising firms on regulatory investigations and disciplinary matters.

Ralph was also the founding Chairman of the Association of Professional Compliance Consultants (APCC) an organisation formed at the instigation of the FSA to improve professional standards in compliance.

Stuart Holman LLM

Stuart advises a wide variety of firms on obtaining authorisation and on changes to their existing permissions. Stuart graduated in 1992 with a master's degree in corporate and commercial law from Queen Mary College, London. After passing his Law Society Finals he took articles with a West End firm of solicitors specialising in company law.

He qualified as a Solicitor in 1996, joined CCL in 1998 and became a partner of the firm in April 2000.

John McLaughlin BSc., ACMA

John joined CCL in 2004, and he prepares management accounts and regulatory financial reports for many of our clients. John also looks after CCL's own finance and administration operations.

John graduated in 1986 from the London School of Economics with a degree in Actuarial Science. Having qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 1991, he has worked in a number of industries where he has acted as Finance Director.

Atma Dhariwal

Atma joined CCL in 1999, and specialises in advising firms on all aspects of prudential rules of the FSA in addition to advising on operational procedures and control systems as well as assessment of risk with specific emphasis on impact of various risks on "Pillar 2" capital requirements in line with current CRD rules. He also presents seminars on current FSA prudential rules and is also responsible for advising on and preparing of regulatory financial reports on behalf of a large number of firms.

Between 1977 and 1987 Atma was Chief Accountant at a major public company. He entered the financial services industry in 1987. Since then he has worked as Finance Director for SFA regulated brokerage firms, and since 1999 as a senior compliance consultant to financial services firms on financial/prudential regulation including reporting requirements.
